What is an Affiliate Program? 

       

 

An affiliate program - also known as an Associate Program - is an increasingly popular form of online marketing, in which a website that refers business to your website is paid a small commission. Referrals are steered to your site via a specially coded banner or link, which appears on sites that have agreed to send business your way.

 

 

How does the affiliate scheme work?

   

 


The AffiliateFuture system works in this way:

  • A Merchant (someone who wants visitors to come to their site to increase sales, leads etc.) registers with AffiliateFuture and adds a programme to the site. A programme is a combination of a banner or text, an offer of commission, and a link to the Merchant’s site.
  • An Affiliate (someone who wants to add adverts to their site to generate revenue) also registers with AffiliateFuture, and subscribes to the programme offered by the Merchant.
  • This generates code which the Affiliate adds to their site.
  • Using this code, AffiliateFuture tracks visitors to the Affiliate’s site and tracks visits from this site to the Merchant’s site. It also records whether the offer conditions are met.
  • AffiliateFuture processes all the data and credits the Affiliate with the relevant amount of commission.

1 .  When do you get paid?


As long as you have earned a minimum of £20 commission in a month, payment will be made approximately 14-20 days after the end of the month (minimum of £100 for affiliates outside the UK who are paid by cheque). To ensure you are paid on time and in full, you must complete the My Financial Details in the Finance section, along with My Details in the Profile Section, where you must ensure that your address is completed in full.
